Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Dayton's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Dayton and Truckee squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Dayton had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dust Devils have suffered since October 3rd.

Their offense was headlined by ZOEY JOHNSON-KOWALLEK and ALYSSA GALLAGHER, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from ALISI TULIMAFUA-CURRAN and her 11 assists.

Averi Costa was the offensive standout of the match as she had ten digs. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

With the loss, Dayton broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-9. As for Truckee, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-6.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, Dayton and The Meadows School will shake off the rust and duke it out at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Truckee, they will square off against Moapa Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
