Volleyball Recap: Vallejo Takes a Loss

Vallejo lost against El Cerrito back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Redhawks lost 3-0 to the Gauchos.

Vallejo was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Leading El Cerrito to victory were Angelina Franklin and Ainsley Chan. Franklin had five aces and three assists, while Chan had eight digs and one assist.

Vallejo has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for El Cerrito, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.

Vallejo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for El Cerrito, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bethel on the 22nd.
