Recap: Northeast Academy Eagles vs. Albemarle School Colts
The Northeast Academy Eagles fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Albemarle School Colts on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Colts by a score of 44-41. Northeast Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured five defeats in a row.
Albemarle School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addison Delosreyes out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Delosreyes has scored all season. Madelyn Delosreyes was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven assists and five steals.
Northeast Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Albemarle School, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-8.
The two teams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Albemarle School is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for they, they will head out on the road to take on Northeast Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Northeast Academy and Albemarle School are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
