Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Brentsville District). They put the hurt on the Handley Judges with a sharp 28-1 win on Tuesday. The Tigers have beaten the Judges the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Judges has come to flipping the script.
Alyssa Owens made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Owens was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jordan Ulrich was a standout: she went a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, six RBI, and two doubles. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Natalie Marvin, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, three doubles, and two runs.
