Basketball Recap: Landon Heck's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Georgetown-Ridge Farm over Chrisman

Georgetown-Ridge Farm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 54-44 to the Chrisman Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buffaloes of the 64-61 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Landon Heck, who posted 12 points. Those 12 points gave Heck a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Austin Grider, who earned nine points and six boards.

Chrisman's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin McCord led the charge by putting up 18 points and seven rebounds. Nate Bones was another key player, going 7 of 9 to rack up 14 points.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's defeat dropped their record down to 3-21. As for Chrisman, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-19.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm has already played their next matchup, a 65-59 loss against Schlarman on the 4th. As for Chrisman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-44 defeat against Paris on the 1st.
