Soccer Recap: Edinburg North Falls Short of Harlingen in the Playoffs

Edinburg North and Harlingen squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Edinburg North had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Edinburg North came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while Harlingen are ranked 259th).

Edinburg North's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6-3. As for Harlingen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-11-1.

Edinburg North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harlingen, they will square off against Clemens at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clemens will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Harlingen surely won't give up without a fight.
