Merino had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Eads Eagles on Saturday as they made off with a 12-3 victory. Considering the Rams have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Coen Schmidt made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits.
