Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Huskies vs. King Wolves

Centennial is on a four-game streak of home losses, and King a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Centennial Huskies will welcome the King Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Centennial lost 9-3 to Corona on Friday.

Centennial saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Simpson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. Simpson has become a key player for the Huskies: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-11 otherwise. Devin Bishop was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, King fell victim to Santiago and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sharks.

Michael Lamb was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Centennial beat King 15-10 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Do the Huskies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
