Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. Boca Ciega

Northeast and Boca Ciega are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2015, but likely not for long. The Northeast Vikings will welcome the Boca Ciega Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Northeast is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Osceola just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Boca Ciega was not able to break out of their rough patch back in November as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Pinellas Park, falling 7-0. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by exactly seven goals.

Boca Ciega's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Northeast, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Northeast took their victory against Boca Ciega in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 4-0. Will Northeast repeat their success, or does Boca Ciega have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
