Volleyball Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

Columbus lost against Riverton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Titans lost 3-0 to the Rams. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-7, 25-9.

Riverton was led to victory by Alexa Price and Avery Barnett. Price had eight digs and one assist, while Barnett hit 55.6% for 17 kills and seven digs and two assists. Barnett is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 52 games she's played dating back to last season. Amberly Youngblood also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 5-25-1. As for Riverton, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 31-4-1.

Columbus has already played their next matchup (against Baxter Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Riverton, they will challenge Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
