Preview: Centreville vs. South Lakes
Centreville will look to defend their home turf on Friday against South Lakes at 7:00 PM. Each team will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Centreville skips in on four wins and South Lakes on three.
You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out between Centreville and Forest Park. Centreville blew past Forest Park 45-14. Senior Jordan Wright, who picked up 108 yards on the ground and caught passes for 66 yards, was a major factor in Centreville's success.
Last Thursday, South Lakes put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took their contest against Dominion by a conclusive 35-7 score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point South Lakes had established a 21-0 advantage.
Their wins bumped Centreville to 4-0 and South Lakes to 3-1. Given their high-scoring efforts against their previous opponents, it will be interesting to see how far up these teams can run up the score.
