Softball Recap: Valencia Comes Up Short

Valencia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tularosa Wildcats. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Valencia's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Tularosa, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valencia will welcome Grants at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Valencia's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Tularosa, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Tularosa Wildcats face off against Capitan Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
