Baseball Recap: Germantown Comes Up Short

The Germantown Red Devils didn't have quite enough to beat the Fayette Ware Wildcats on Tuesday and fell 17-16. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacob Jones led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Germantown is 3-1 when Jones posts two or more runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cameron Leaks, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-6.

Germantown's record now sits at 5-7. As for Fayette Ware, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4.

While Germantown had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
