Basketball Recap: Eek Piles Up the Points Against Kwigillingok

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Akula Elitnaurvik, Eek was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the Kwigillingok Eagles to the tune of 82-33. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 33 points or more this season.

It was another big night for John Friendly, who posted 35 points. The game was his seventh in a row with at least 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of George Hoffman, who earned 21 points.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Corey Daniel, who put up 11 points. Caiden Nichols was another key player, putting up eight points.

Eek pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Kwigillingok, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Eek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-33 loss against Chief Paul Memorial on the 22nd. As for Kwigillingok, they have also already played their next matchup, a 68-57 win against Lewis Angapak on the 21st.
