Preview: Park Ridge vs. Weehawken
Weehawken have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Park Ridge on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Weehawken now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Weehawken came up short against St. Mary two weeks ago, falling 30-42. Weehawken's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Jimmy Lopez, who rushed for 139 yards and 1 touchdown. Lopez has now scored at least one touchdown in the past four games.
Meanwhile, Park Ridge might be getting used to good results now that the squad have five wins in a row. They snuck past Emerson with a 27-21 win.
Park Ridge's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Weehawken's defeat dropped them down to 2-3. In their victory, Park Ridge relied heavily on junior Vince Pinto, who rushed for 175 yards and 2 touchdowns. Weehawken will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
