Basketball Recap: Churubusco Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Churubusco extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Braylon McCoy. The Churubusco Eagles strolled past the Eastside Blazers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 55-36 with plenty of help from McCoy, who shot 75% from the field en route to 13 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. That's the most assists he has posted since back in January.

Weston Ott was another key player, putting up 11 points. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.7% field goal percentage.

Churubusco's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Eastside, they are on a 27-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Looking ahead, Churubusco will face off against Lakeland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
