Softball Recap: Paloma Valley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Paloma Valley had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Corona Panthers by a score of 5-1 on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kaydence Koepsell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lynda Guerra was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brooke Bobbette, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Paloma Valley's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Corona, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Paloma Valley nor Corona have any future games scheduled.
