Football Recap: Ridgeway Takes a Loss

Ridgeway had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it seven. They had to suffer through a 51-6 loss at the hands of the Fayette Ware Wildcats. The Roadrunners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

As for Fayette Ware, the win got them back to even at 4-4. That 45 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Justin Price produced another solid effort throwing for 205 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 8-for-8 passing, while also rushing for 77 yards and one TD on only seven carries. Those 77 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Reynaldeus Raimey was another key player, rushing for 63 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

Ridgeway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-6 victory against Craigmont on the 17th. As for Fayette Ware, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kirby at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
