Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Morgan walked away with it. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the East Lawrence Eagles an 11-0 shutout on Saturday. The Rebels not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12th (when they won 12-0).

West Morgan has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-22-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for East Lawrence, they dropped their record down to 9-24 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

West Morgan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 defeat against Danville on the 26th. East Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
