Ooltewah won against East Hamilton on Tuesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Owls beat the Hurricanes by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-2. The result was nothing new for the Owls, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Ooltewah's sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for East Hamilton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-15.

Coming up, Ooltewah will host McMinn Central at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Owls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for East Hamilton, they will head out on the road to challenge Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 11:15 a.m. on Friday.
