Recap: San Fernando Tigers vs. Van Nuys Wolves
If the San Fernando Tigers were feeling good off their 74-24 takedown of the Vaughn White Tigers last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. San Fernando fell just short of Van Nuys by a score of 51-49. San Fernando was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Van Nuys apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
San Fernando lost on Wednesday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Christopher Bynum , who scored 14 points. The match was Bynum 's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Marin , who scored 13 points.
San Fernando has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Van Nuys, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Fernando won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against East Valley at 4:00 p.m. on December 7th. East Valley will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Van Nuys will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Bernstein at 6:00 p.m. on December 11th. Bernstein will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
