Cypress Ranch had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 23-14 win over the Bridgeland Bears. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered a 41-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Braden Baker produced another solid effort throwing for 227 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 31 yards. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September. Peyton Thomas was another key player, rushing for 117 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cypress Ranch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Cypress Ranch didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Dorian Rogers and David Crosby. Rogers also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.

Cypress Ranch's record now sits at 7-2. As for Bridgeland, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.
