Eaglecrest has gone 8-2 against Mullen recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. Eaglecrest will be strutting in after a victory while Mullen will be coming in after a defeat.
Eaglecrest took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Cherokee Trail, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Raptors had just enough and edged out the Cougars 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raptors.
If you add up the scores from across all five sets (110-107) Eaglecrest actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 19-25, 25-23, 16-14.

Natalia Jarzebczyk and Ella Mack were among the main playmakers for Eaglecrest as the former had 26 assists and seven digs and the latter had 14 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Jarzebczyk has posted since back in September.
Meanwhile, after a string of eight wins, Mullen's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to Cherry Creek.
While Mullen had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-23, 25-23.
Eaglecrest's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Mullen, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-2.
Eaglecrest was able to grind out a solid victory over Mullen when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raptors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
