Baseball Recap: Wolfe City Comes Up Short

Wolfe City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ford Panthers. The match marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Wolfe City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casen Pessel, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Carson Herron also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Wolfe City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Ford, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wolfe City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cooper at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. As for Ford, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
