Soccer Game Preview: Benedictine vs. Ware County + Official Tickets

Benedictine is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Ware County Gators at 6:00 p.m. Benedictine's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Benedictine took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Camden County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cadets' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 1-0 shutout on Tuesday. Asher Herrin had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Benedictine.

Meanwhile, Ware County made easy work of Bacon County on Tuesday and carried off a 5-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Ware County.

Benedictine now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ware County, their win bumped their record up to 2-0-1.

Benedictine was able to grind out a solid victory over Ware County when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 2-0. Will the Cadets repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
