Basketball Recap: Hemphill Takes a Loss

After flying high against Corrigan-Camden last Friday, Hemphill came back down to earth. The Hemphill Hornets came up short against the Shelbyville Dragons on Tuesday, falling 71-46. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.

Hemphill's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Shelbyville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Hemphill will take on Chireno at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chireno will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Hemphill surely won't give up without a fight. As for Shelbyville, they will challenge Woden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
