Basketball Recap: Warrensburg Comes Up Short

Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lebanon Yellowjackets.

Noah Boggs was nothing short of spectacular for Lebanon: he went 8 for 13 en route to 22 points and six boards. That's the most points Boggs has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bristol Burtin, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 14 points.

Warrensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Lebanon, their win bumped their record up to 6-12.

Warrensburg and Lebanon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Warrensburg (ranked 487th) will meet Harrisonville (ranked 86th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Lebanon will face off against Parkview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 217 places (252 vs. 35).
