Volleyball Game Preview: MCC Crescents vs. Universal Stars

MCC is a perfect 4-0 against Universal since August of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Crescents will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Stars at 5:00 p.m. Universal took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on MCC, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, MCC was able to grind out a solid victory over Uplift, taking the game 2-0.

MCC not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Uplift between 19 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Universal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 2-0 to Islamic Foundation.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-12.

MCC has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Universal, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

MCC came out on top in a nail-biter against Universal in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Crescents have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
