For the second straight game, Deer Valley will face off against Antioch. The Wolverines will venture away from home to square off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Valley is looking for their season's first victory.

Antioch hit Deer Valley with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wolverines came up short against the Panthers, falling 8-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wolverines have lost by exactly seven runs.

Mark McBurney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and six unearned) runs on eight hits.

Deer Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Antioch, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-12.
