Baseball Recap: Pleasant Home's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Pleasant Home waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Georgiana Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Andrew Clark was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Pleasant Home is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-11 otherwise. Clark was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Reedi Bozeman was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Pleasant Home: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Bodie Dodd, who scored two runs and stole three bases.

Pleasant Home hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Georgiana struck out 12 times.

Pleasant Home's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Georgiana, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Pleasant Home will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
