Basketball Recap: Clackamas' Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Clackamas came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Gresham Gophers by a score of 85-73 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Cavaliers, who suffered a 70-64 loss the last time these two teams met.

Clackamas' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-5. As for Gresham, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clackamas will take on Reynolds at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Clackamas is facing Reynolds at the right time seeing as Reynolds is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Gresham, they are taking a road trip to square off against Nelson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nelson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Gresham likes a good challenge.
