Cumberland faced Moses Brown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Clippers blew past the Quakers 7-1. The win was familiar territory for the Clippers, who have now won five contests in a row.

Cumberland got a great performance from Liam Monahan as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Monahan has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brody Enos, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Aidan Ray, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Cumberland's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Moses Brown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
