Soccer Recap: Weber Falls Short Against Ranked Syracuse

Weber faced Syracuse in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of the Titans by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Weber of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Chloe Ludlum, which was the first she's scored this season.

Weber's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Syracuse, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Weber wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Layton on the 23rd. As for Syracuse, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Farmington on the 23rd.
