Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Hayfork Timberjacks

The Trinity Wolves were the 47-43 winner over the Hayfork Timberjacks when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity fell 64-52 to Hayfork on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that Trinity has lost by exactly 12 points.

Despite the defeat, Trinity saw an underclassman step up: Carver Dresselhaus scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The matchup was Dresselhaus' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Poburko, who scored 14 points along with three steals.

It was another big night for Anthony Bonelli, who scored 23 points for Hayfork. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bonelli has scored at least 25% of Hayfork's points. Another player making a difference was Troy Hair, who scored 13 points.

Trinity has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Hayfork, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Trinity and Redding Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Redding Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hayfork, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dunsmuir at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunsmuir comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
