Nate Sheriff posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). He was dominant the last time he took on Mt. Carmel on Tuesday, so they probably should've seen this coming. Sheriff has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
