Basketball Recap: McCluer Comes Up Short

McCluer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Marquette Mustangs 74-32. The match marked the Comets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

McCluer's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Marquette, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

McCluer will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Granite City at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Marquette also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Howell Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
