Recap: Niangua Cardinals vs. Fair Play Hornets
The Niangua Cardinals can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 51-26 margin over Fair Play. Given Niangua's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Fair Play is ranked 515th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Niangua's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Henderson, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds. Henderson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played. Ethan Scheetz was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and four steals.
Niangua is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for Fair Play, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-15.
Niangua will take on Bradleyville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Niangua will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bradleyville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fair Play, they will head out on the road to take on Macks Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
