Basketball Recap: Maggie Hartjes and Emma Holbrook Secure Win for University School of Milwaukee

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Living Word Lutheran, University School of Milwaukee was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 47-27 margin over the Heritage Christian Patriots. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 60-54 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading University School of Milwaukee to victory were Emma Holbrook and Maggie Hartjes. Holbrook dropped a double-double with 16 points and 11 boards, while Hartjes posted five points in addition to 11 assists and six steals. Another player making a difference was Aneesha Jayasuriya, who put up eight points.

University School of Milwaukee now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Heritage Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, University School of Milwaukee will head out on the road to take on St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Palmyra-Eagle at 6:30 p.m.
