Softball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Russellville was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They fell just short of the Scottsboro Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 11-31-1. As for Scottsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-13-1 record this season.

Russellville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 loss against Boaz on the 6th. As for Scottsboro, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Lawrence County on the 6th.
