Basketball Recap: Economedes Jaguars vs. La Joya Coyotes

Economedes lost against La Joya back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Economedes Jaguars were beaten by the La Joya Coyotes 50-23. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alessey Rodriguez and Yazmin Ayala certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Rodriguez posted five points and ten boards, while Ayala had four points. Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played.

As for La Joya, they will head out on the road to challenge Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Joya is facing Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at the right time seeing as Pharr-San Juan-Alamo is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
