Soccer Recap: King's Fork Takes a Loss

King's Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 4-0 to the Nansemond River Warriors. While losing is never fun, King's Fork can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 197th, while Nansemond River are ranked 35th).

King's Fork now has a losing record of 7-8-2. As for Nansemond River, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Fork will welcome Bethel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bethel will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something King's Fork surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nansemond River, they will host Hickory at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
