Kinston's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against Tarboro by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Kinston's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from K'NIYAH WHITFIELD, who had 62 digs and four aces. WHITFIELD has been hot, having posted 18 or more digs the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was TANIJA SUTTON, who had 47 digs.

With the win, Kinston broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 2-15. As for Tarboro, they dropped their record down to 2-15 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
