Basketball Recap: Stratford Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Stratford had won three straight road games and Hannah Johnson did her part to make it four on Friday. The Stratford Spartans claimed a resounding 64-23 win over the Stem Preparatory Academy The Chargers thanks in part to Johnson, who posted 19 points. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Nia Murphy was another key player, putting up ten points. Those ten points gave her a new career-high.

Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Stem Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stratford will square off against East Nashville Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Nashville Magnet will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Stratford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stem Preparatory Academy, they will face off against Knowledge Academies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stem Preparatory Academy is facing Knowledge Academies at the right time seeing as Knowledge Academies is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
