Morgantown waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They had just enough and edged out the University Hawks 3-1. This was a revenge game for the Mohigans: when they faced off against the Hawks back in March, they had to take a 5-1 loss.

MADISON WISMAN spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Morgantown's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was KAYLEIGH WHITE, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI WHITE has posted since back in March.

Morgantown's record is now 15-4. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-4.

Coming up, Morgantown will look to defend their home field on Monday against John Marshall at 5:00 p.m. The Mohigans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Monarchs have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
