Woodinville skates past Newport - Bellevue with ease

Recap: Woodinville Falcons vs. Newport - Bellevue Knights

The Woodinville Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 78-44 win over Newport - Bellevue at home. Winning may never get old, but Woodinville sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Despite the loss, Newport - Bellevue had strong showings from Jace Rainey, who scored 18 points along with five assists and two steals, and Isaak Losoya, who scored 12 points along with two steals. That was a full 40.9% of Newport - Bellevue's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Even though they lost, Newport - Bellevue were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. This was only their tenth loss (out of 12 games) when they've passed the ball that well.

Woodinville is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Newport - Bellevue, they bumped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Woodinville will face off against Bothell at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bothell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight matches -- so hopefully Woodinville likes a good challenge. As for Newport - Bellevue, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Issaquah at 7:00 p.m. Issaquah has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.
