Baseball Recap: Manatee Comes Up Short

Manatee and Braden River squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Manatee had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hurricanes have suffered since February 11th.

Manatee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Roberts, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI.

Manatee's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Braden River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

As of now, neither Manatee nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
