Mohave Accelerated wins going away against St. John Paul II Catholic

Recap: Mohave Accelerated Patriots vs. St. John Paul II Catholic Lions

The Mohave Accelerated Patriots scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 72-49 margin over St. John Paul II Catholic. Mohave Accelerated might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

When it comes to explaining why St. John Paul II Catholic lost, one person who can't be blamed is Layne Dickens. Despite the final result, he scored 21 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Umbdenstock, who scored eight points.

The win makes it two in a row for Mohave Accelerated and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.

Mohave Accelerated's road trip will continue as they head out to face River Valley at 4:30 p.m. on December 19th. River Valley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. St. John Paul II Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Trivium Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Trivium Prep comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
