Soccer Recap: Goddard Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Goddard and Artesia squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Goddard had to settle for second. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bulldogs who were credited with the win. The Artesia Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Goddard Rockets' three. The defeat continues a trend for Goddard in their meetings with Artesia: they've now lost four in a row.

Goddard's goal came courtesy of Allana Rogers, who's now up to three this season.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 8-11-2. As for Artesia, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-3.

Goddard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Artesia, they will challenge Los Alamos at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Artesia will need to watch out since Los Alamos have now posted at least four goals in their last five matches.
