Volleyball Recap: Lordstown Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Mia Giesey and Alana Forester

After flying high against Windham last Wednesday, Lordstown came back down to earth. The Red Devils came up short against the David Anderson Blue Devils on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Alana Forester and Mia Giesey certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Forester had nine digs and one assist, while Giesey had 11 kills and seven digs. Giesey has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last five times she's played.

Lordstown has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for David Anderson, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-11.

Lordstown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for David Anderson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Cornerstone Christian on the 21st.
