Baseball Recap: East Stroudsburg North Drops Season-High Score on Notre Dame

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Stroudsburg North). Everything went their way against the Notre Dame Spartans on Monday as they made off with an 8-1 victory. The Timberwolves haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Robby Ford spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up ten Ks. He is becoming a predictor of East Stroudsburg North's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is 2-1 (and 1-6 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Colin Howell was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Notre Dame, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

East Stroudsburg North didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-1 loss against Pocono Mountain East on the 15th. As for Notre Dame, they have also already played their next contest, an 18-0 defeat against Wilson Area on the 16th.
